WANTED - Dead or Alive - day 5

Today we were greeted by two of Georgia’s finest…NOT! The first officer was very nice; however the second one was on a power trip and was a real JERK. I was forced to give in to the powers that be and ride in the van. Thankfully it was a very short distance to the hotel.

This wheelchair adventure has made me realize even more how our society is so busy and preoccupied with their fast paced lifestyle that whenever they are inconvenienced (for example by the guy driving down the road in a wheelchair) they get absolutely crazy. We were called all kinds of obscenities and received the “one finger wave” more times than I care to count.

Ken and Glenda,

Wow, you sure will have some stories by the time you reach Washington. You should also use a magic marker to track the good and not so good cops. I would tell you to track finger wavers but your van ain't big enough. We are all so proud of you and are with you in spirit.

We are all watching in total amazement. A special person has taken to the streets and highways for ALS. I hope those fingers waves are on film. Go Ken, be Safe.

I still cannot fathom the depth of the experience this must be, alone, just from the perspective that you guys and gals are actually doing this; let alone what you will encounter along the way.

You have pure hutZpah, and my feeble support - me just sitting here at home, doh.

Don't wanna sound cliche by saying break a leg, nor do I wanna jynx by saying get a flat tire...lol....I guess GOOD LUCK and GODSPEED will have to do....Pat H
